What We Offer :

What We Offer - Champlain Valley Guide Services - Charlotte, VermontWe provide our clients with all the necessary accoutrements for a successful hunt. We employ world class decoys, boats, standing and layout blinds, dog work and state champion titled duck and goose calling. Our locations are pre-scouted fields and wetlands that are habitat - managed to optimize the attraction of feed and sanctuary.

Our blinds are custom built to accommodate the novice or intermediate skilled hunter or fisherman to get as close as he/she can to their targeted species.

We hunt and fish on both public and private properties in the scenic Champlain Valley of Vermont. We focus our expeditions on the target species of resident Canada geese, North Atlantic Population (NAP) migratory Canada geese, greater snow geese, mallards, black ducks, wood ducks, greenwing and bluewing teal, scaup, ringnecks and goldeneyes.

Seasons and bag limits for ducks and geese are set annually in August but generally run from the day after Labor Day through the 25th for resident Canada geese and from the first week of October through December 25th for ducks. Each year there is a period during which all seasons coincide – Canada geese, snow geese, and all ducks. These are our “premium” booking dates.

In May we concentrate on Eastern Turkey, where we enjoy the highest population in New England of approximately 50,000 birds and allow 2 male toms to be harvested. Locations for turkey hunting are on both public and private land and often offer some of the most scenic ridgelines in the State.

During the winter (generally the months of February, March and the beginning of April) we offer guided ice fishing tours in heated shanties, both portable and permanent, depending on location and conditions.
